Easter Egg Hunt

This past Sunday, the kids and I joined some of our good friends, Charley, Tara, and their daughter, Elise, and went to an Easter Egg hunt at the local Bass Pro Shop. We had a blast! They hide eggs throughout the inside of the store, and once each child gets 5 eggs, they turn them in for candy and a craft set (although Michael was much more interested in the candy than the craft!).

And, of course, we had to see the Easter Bunny. I knew, as we were standing in line, that Matthew was not going to like this. He kept looking at me, then the bunny, then me again. And sure enough, the moment I put him in the Easter Bunny's lap, he lost it! I should have known, given how our last Santa Clause experience went. However, the nice thing was they gave every kid a picture FOR FREE! Yes, I said free!

Anyways, Michael had a great time, and we are looking for all the Easter activities going on this week. :-)

Yes, I chased down the cupcake truck......

I have been following this local company on Facebook called 3 Girls Cupcakes. They are a mobile cupcake company that travels to different spots everyday, and you have to like them on Facebook to find out there locations. Well, this morning, while Matthew and I were making one of our weekly trips to Target (okay, okay....it was our second trip this week!), I checked my Facebook and realized they were just down the street! So Matthew and I chased down the cupcake truck. :-)

I picked up the double chocolate and got Michael the cookies n' cream as a surprise for after school. (And yes, I will be using quite a few weekly Weight Watchers points for this one...but so worth it!). I had to share the photos, they were amazing!

You can find out more about 3 Girls Cupcakes at www.3girlscupcakes.com.

Here we go....

Yes, I finally decided to join the world of blogging, in an attempt to document my kids lives, as well as have as much "adult interaction" a stay at home mom can get from an online blog. :-)

To start off, I have been married for almost 5 years (wow - that went fast!), to my high school sweetheart, Ben. He is a KC firefighter and absolutely loves what he does. We have two kids, Michael (4 years old) and Matthew (11 months old) who keep me extremely busy! Michael currently is in preschool and loves to play any type of sport. He is my "I want to be outside and get dirty" child, and a total daddy's boy. Matthew is walking everywhere, teething, and just full of smiles, and definitely a momma's boy! Its amazing to see how similar, yet different, they are. I can't wait to watch them grow up together.

As for me, I love to take pictures, so I will apologize now for all the pictures I will probably post. Currently, Matthew is trying to throw balls at the computer to play, so I will post a few now of the kiddos.

I am interested to see how this goes. I hope I at least get one follower!!
